We went to a center for young single women with children. The women live at the center and are provided food, Bible lessons for them and their children, and skill training such as sewing and gardening. The first day we went, we performed a puppet show for them and their babies and toddlers. When we finished our show, they wanted to give us something in return, so they sang for us. Please click on the video below to hear them, and notice the small children helping play the drums toward the end of one video.

Another day we came to the center just to interact with the children who come on Saturdays for Bible lessons. These children come from various religious backgrounds. We performed a puppet show about the story of Adam and Eve. During the show, a young boy who sells bananas on the street came in the open door, hoping to sell bananas to us. When he saw the puppet show happening, he suddenly stopped and stood, staring in amazement, and watched the rest of the show.

Eric debriefed the story with them and did a brilliant job of summing up the gospel story from Genesis to Jesus. Our missionary friend who works there said it was the best all-inclusive gospel summary presentation she had ever heard.

In return for our show, one of the leaders brought out a bongo drum and started a rhythm, and the kids sang and danced for us. Please click on the video below to hear them.
