The church we visited had this as a logo. Notice the prominence of the cow. Cows are very important in Rwandan culture. Owning a cow not only provides milk for good nutrition, but it’s a sign of social prestige.
The school children gave music and dance performances in the church.
The kids in the church yard of the Sewers of Hope project. Sewers of Hope trains individuals in new, more effective, and inexpensive ways to grow kitchen gardens, including making their own compost.
We shared about our culture in school classrooms. One student asked Jared how we dance, so Jared demonstrated while the student followed.
